The Birth Suit 2

The Birth Suit 2 is a sculpture and sound installation which explores the relationship between materiality and the body. The life size sculptural figure ‘Ava’ seeks to fill the void of touch between human and artificial intelligence as she visualises the unseeable, by transforming into a physical presence. She responds to the viewer by talking or asking a question, creating an interactive atmosphere. Ava prompts the viewer to “kiss her” and gives thanks to her creator, which counteracts the emotionless and static nature of artificial intelligence.
